JJ Engineering have recently undertaken an independent customer survey in order to ascertain ways in which their services may be improved and to gauge how customers currently perceive the business relationship they have.

Firstly, clients were asked to recall what factor(s) were important in choosing JJ Engineering?

Answers ranged from how JJ Engineering were excellent at cost recovery on tools and their approach in quality, their low cost pricing structure, and the attitude of the staff.

To quantify service levels, customers were asked to rate between 1 and 5 (where 1 is poor and 5 is excellent) their views on response levels. These are the results:

How would you rate the efficiency with which your telephone call is responded to at JJ Engineering?

Average Mark: 4.2 (out of a possible score of 5)

The objective of this question is to understand how satisfied customers are with the time taken by JJ Engineering to return telephone calls and to provide a satisfactory answer to a question posed over the telephone.

How would you rate the level of efficiency in which your order is dealt with?

Average Mark: 4.1 (out of a possible score of 5)


The aim of this question is to understand how satisfied customers are with the level of efficiency offered by JJ Engineering when placing their order through to production and delivery.

How would you rate the accuracy with which your order is dealt with?

Average Mark: 4.1 (out of a possible score of 5)

The objective of this question is to identify how satisfied the customer is with the levels of accuracy achieved when placing an order with JJ Engineering i.e. Do JJ Engineering get the order right each time.

Lastly the customers were asked to provide a quote that best describes their business relationship with JJ Engineering. The quotes were as follows:
