JJ Engineering combines
traditional craftsmanship with the latest technology and
operates within an all-embracing culture of continuous improvement,
quality and service. Since 1973, the company has seen continual
growth and development in response to the need for complex
metal-formed components for the automotive and other manufacturing
sectors. Design, engineering and production of volume presswork,
predominantly from low carbon steel up to 10mm thickness,
but also in aluminium, copper and zinc galvanised steels,
is complemented by secondary operations and surface treatments.
As a BSI registered firm, JJ Engineering is compliant with
the requirements of TS16949 and ISO 14001 International
standards. The application of advanced project
planning (APP) provides the most thorough assessment
of
customers' needs and establishes the methods and timetable
for meeting them. Powerful presses up to 315 tonnes
press
blanks or coiled strip metal by standard or progression
tooling sets. Ancillary operations include drilling,
milling,
pitch-feed tapping, riveting, resistance and CO² welding,
programmable robotic welding.
Toolroom facilities
include CNC machining, EDM wire erosion, digitising and
full CAD/CAM facilities. Quality standards are maintained
by CMM measuring equipment and SPC systems. Support facilities
include the ability to accept 3D data, through comprehensive
information technology, to fully machine, measure and produce
single components or complex assemblies. Effective logistics
are confirmed by MRP2 systems and delivery is often on 'just
in time' basis or utilising KANBAN systems.
